Building on its impressive legacy, the latest edition of the F-150 combines modern style with unbelievable performance. With plenty of performance and a comfy cabin that features cutting-edge technology from the front to back, this pickup has quickly proven to be a favorite among our local drivers. So if you haven’t seen the 2022 Ford F-150 yet, here’s a driver’s guide to cover some of its key features.

Performance

Along with four-wheel drive and a terrain management system, the 2022 F-150 offers six engines, with a 400-horsepower V8 as the largest option. Also offered among these are three different 3.5-liter V6 engines, one of which is the Raptor’s 450-horsepower High-Output variant, while another is a full-hybrid engine that’s capable of towing up to 12,700 pounds.

There are many off-road-ready features as well, like 1-Pedal Drive. Because you may not have enough time to brake quickly in an emergency, this setting will automatically brake for you when it detects that your foot has left the gas pedal.

Interior Design

The cabin of this edition has been designed for both productivity and comfort, with a flat work surface that folds out whenever you need to use your laptop or write something down. Ambient lighting, wood-trim interior accents, and heated leather seats are just some of the many luxury features available.

The front-row seats can also be fully reclined if you opt for the Max Recline seats, which, along with the dual-zone climate control, makes lunchtime naps much comfier. While the cabin seats as many as six passengers, you can make more room for cargo when you have fewer people aboard by simply folding down the 60/40 split-folding bench seat in the back.

Technology

As for tech features, the vehicle’s infotainment system, SYNC 4, delivers music and videos to a dazzling 8-inch touchscreen display with both Bluetooth technology for smartphone devices and voice command functions.

With Ford BlueCruise, you have an automated system that turns the F-150 into a self-driving vehicle as it utilizes the Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control feature to control its speed while also recognizing and adhering to speed limit signs on select highways.

Safety

Three of the F-150’s safety monitoring systems that all work together include Pre-Collision Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Post-Collision Braking. If you’re at risk of colliding with an object or another vehicle in your path, Pre-Collision Assist will first attempt to warn you of this.

Automatic Emergency Braking will then apply brake pressure to prevent a collision, while Post-Collision Braking will do the same to avoid a second collision if an impact does occur.

The 2022 F-150 delivers strong performance alongside innovative tech features and a comfortable cabin. To see this Ford pickup for yourself, contact us today at Mike Molstead Motors in Charles City, IA.
